Judge Jeff Allen has spent his career working to help Will County families gain equal access to the courthouse. Judge Allen worked his way through college and law school as a Laborer and Teamster. He knows what matters to local working families. Judge Allen has a strong record of community service. He's a husband, a father, and an Eagle Scout. He has been doing what's right for Will County for 30 years. The Code of Judicial Conduct states that “judges, individually and collectively, must respect and honor the judicial office as a public trust and strive to enhance and maintain confidence in our legal system.” Becoming a subcircuit judge will provide an opportunity for me to further honor the public trust of judicial office and to better contribute to maintaining confidence in our legal system. Subcircuit judges have all the powers and responsibilities of circuit judges. Circuit judges are the policy makers for the local court system. They are, in a real sense, responsible for the quality of the administration of justice in Will County. How our circuit judges address the challenges to improving our court system in the face of unprecedented growth will impact our very faith in the concept of equal justice under the law. I believe my experience as a judge and my involvement in the community will permit me to be a positive and meaningful partner in successfully meeting those challenges. | Elected Officials Community
