Will-Grundy Building Trades Council Endorses Judge Jeff Allen





	Judge Jeff Allen recently received additional support from local labor as the Will Grundy Building Trades Council endorsed the Democratic candidate for judge of the newly-created Subcircuit 2. "It is an honor to receive the unanimous endorsement of the Will Grundy Building Trades Council,” said Judge Allen. “I am grateful and proud to have the support of an organization that effectively advocates for working families in our community.” With Council membership including both Laborer and Teamster locals, Judge Jeff Allen said it helps him to reflect on how organized labor had an effect on his legal career. “I was able to pay for my college education by working as a union Laborer and pay for my law school education by working as a union Teamster,” Allen said. “In a very real sense, I would not have the honor to serve the public as a judge without the wages and benefits I earned through union membership. Needless to say, the endorsement of the Will and Grundy Counties Building Trades Council is especially meaningful and appreciated." Judge Jeff Allen has also received endorsements from local labor organizations including the Will-Grundy Counties Central Trades and Labor Council, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 176, American Federation of Teachers Local 604 IFT/AFT, and AFSCME Local 1028.
